Challenge your art to go to the next level. Can you mix greens in accordance with value? Can you compose a painting? Pick what excited you and build a painting around this idea. Gather reference that will support your idea (plein air in your yard, gardens, or a gathering of still life flowers. Make sure you understand green before progressing to flowers and bright color. Greens in the landscape (and flower still life) play an important role in supporting all the other colors we see in gardens. Video #2 in this series explores green mixes, value, and warm / cool greens.
