Recommended portriat/figure Books mentioned in program:

- Drawing and Painting People, John Raynes, North Light Books, 2000 (about $7 used on Amazon, etc.) excellent book ... heads and figures, features (such as mouth, nose), figure & composition, etc.

- Rose Frantzen, Portrait of Maquoketa Book (closeup portraits of people in her town). Used is $100-150, however this is available on the web directly from the printer at:

- John Singer Sargent Complete Paintings.  Volume VI: Venetian Figures and Landscapes, 1898-1913: Complete Paintings, by Richard Ormond and Elaine Kilmurray

this whole series is exceptional (all Sargent's work is chronicled... photos shown of exact locations such as venice, sketches, art closeups, fantastic quality art reproductions, even some good text with letters quotes and anecdotes), however books can be more expensive and some volumes are out of print, about $70 - 150 ea. volume
